MEADE – Elsie Hinnergardt, 92, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Lone Tree Lodge in Meade.
She was born Aug. 21, 1920, to Fred and Mary Klein Mickeal in Rifle, Colo.
She married Victor Hinnergardt Aug. 21, 1939, in Bazine. He died in January 2000.
She attended school in Rifle.
The couple farmed near Bazine for many years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Bazine and worked with the Senior Companion Program.
She enjoyed sewing, gardening, baking ironing clothes and collecting elephants.
Survivors include three sons, Jim Hinnergardt, Liberal, Kenneth Hinnergardt and wife, Judy, Dodge City, and Freddy Hinnergardt and wife, Debra Jo, Montezuma; five grandchildren; eight great-grand children; three step great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and three step great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, 13 brothers and sisters and a step granddaughter.
o Cremation has taken place with a memorial service at a later date.
Burial will follow at the Bazine Cemetery.
