TYRONE-The Lady Bobcats rebounded from a 10-0 first quarter deficit to take Felt on a 9-2 run in the second quarter. Tyrone went on to lead in the second half and then lose the game.
Taking a 12-9 deficit into the third quarter, the Lady Bobcats led twice and tied the game twice before the final quarter break. Tied 18-18 going into the fourth quarter, Tyrone extended a 22-18 lead and then the tempo turned in Felt's favor. All said and done, the Lady Bulldogs won 30-23.
Tyrone head coach Hope Cox said she thought the Lady Bobcats would win the game. Cox said it was inexperience led to the Felt win.
"I think it's they're being young and inexperienced," she said.
"I think we kind of beat ourselves in the first half," Cox said, referring to the poor first quarter and better rebounding by Felt.
"If it hadn't been for the first half, it wouldn't have been the game it was," she said.
Tyrone scoring was balanced with no one scoring in double figures. Ashlye Reardon and Shelby Davis each recorded one 3-point goal.
Bailey Shelden led Felt with 16 points.
