Myra Lundgrin, 84, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Beaver County Nursing Home in Beaver, Okla.
She was born Oct. 30, 1928, to Arndt and Anna Jorns Petrowsky in Pratt.
She married Alexander Lundgrin Oct. 26, 1957, in Hooker, Okla. He survives.
She attended school and graduated from high school in Pratt. In 1946, she attended Bethany College in Lindsborg, studying in the College of Fine Arts and then attended University of Kansas in Lawrence.
She was confirmed on April 6, 1941, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Natrona, where she played the organ for worship services and conducted the church choir. She was a member of the Ladies Aid, Lamplighters and sponsored the church’s youth group. She was a member of Hagolu and OMTA.
Other survivors include two sons, Daryl Lundgrin and wife, Becky, Russellville, Ky., and Michael Lundgrin, Hooker; two daughters, Katherine Strate, Everett, Wash. and Mary Ann Malone and husband, Mitch, Beaver; 11 grandchildren, Zee, Kim, Rebekah, Ericka, Emma, Brenton, David, Brandon, Tina, Natasha and Joshua; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
o Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hooker, with the Rev. Conrad Oehlert presiding.
Burial will be at the Hooker Cemetery.
