TURPIN, Okla. – Kathryn M. “Kay” Epp, 65, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
She was born April 3, 1947, to Frank and Marie Ellen (Waller) Rotolo in Pueblo, Colo.
She married Aaron L. Epp Nov. 22, 1967, in Floris, Okla. He survives.
She graduated from Liberal High School in 1964.
She had worked as a service writer at Hood Chevrolet, bookkeeper at Aaron’s Repair and activities director at Wheatridge Park Care Center.
She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 80. She was also served as a volunteer at the Liberal Air Museum, Seward County Historical Society and Dorothy’s House.
She enjoyed her dogs, decorating her home and caring for family and friends. She drove her 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air with the Car Friends as they would meet for dinner on Thursdays.
Other survivors include her father; one son, Rick R. Epp, Wichita; one daughter, Tina M. Call and fiancé, Stacy McVey, Liberal; one brother, Frankie Rotolo and wife, Donna, Hugoton; one half-brother, Donnie Schouten and wife, Kitty, Panama City, Fla.; one grandson, Blake K. Edwards, Liberal; nephews, Kelly Rotolo and wife, Sally, Jason Epp and wife, Dawn; Wayne Fox and wife, Joanna, and Shayne Fox and wife, Marci; and nieces, Shawn Rotolo–Utz, Connie Fisher and husband, Steve, Gina Rotolo and Toni Rotolo
She was preceded in death by her mother.
o Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Southern Baptist Church in Liberal, with Pastor Rex Petty presiding.
Burial will be at Restlawn Cemetery in Liberal.
Friends may call from 1-8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Brenneman Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in care of Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. Second Street, Liberal, KS 67901.
