After a disappointing 0-2 start to the Colby Orange and Black Classic, Liberal was able to end with a win Saturday in the seventh place game.
The Redskins dominated Burlington 64-39 after struggling to score against Wichita West and Hugoton.
The Lady Redskins ended the Classic in fifth place after losing to Colby, 45-23.
Liberal’s defense held Colby to only seven points in the first quarter, but the Lady Redskins only scored three.
Colby was able to pick up the offensive pace in the second and third quarters, scoring a combined 29 points while the Lady Redskins continued to struggle on offense and only scored 12 in the same two periods.
Megan Beseker led the Lady Redskins with nine points, and Jai Chapman added eight.
