BEAVER, Okla. – Roy Dale Coyer, 80, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, in Amarillo, Texas.
He was born Dec. 20, 1928, to Leo William and Bernice Esther (Needles) Coyer near Colorado Springs, Colo.
He married Verda O. Gartrell May 15, 1948, in Woodward, Okla. She survives.
He graduated from high school and owned a grocery store in Forgan, Okla.
He was a member of the Baptist Church and a retired Forgan firefighter.
He is also survived by one son, Steven Coyer, Roanoke, Va.; one brother, Jack Coyer, Monroe, N.C.; two grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
o Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at the Beaver First Baptist Church with Jeff Bradley presiding.
Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward, Okla.
