If Santa is a Railroader fan, the Forgan boys basketball team is getting coal in their stockings.
The Bulldogs dismantled the Railroaders, on their home court, in every faze of the game to win 60-27 Saturday night.
Defense and rebounding put the Bulldogs in great position all night, and keyed two runs that made the game a blowout. First, a 17-2 explosion in the second period turned a seven-point game into a twenty-point lead for the Bulldogs at the half.
The second run, a defensive one, started with about four minutes left in the first half. Forgan held Waynoka without a field goal for the next 15 minutes of game time. By the time Waynoka got a field goal, it was three minutes into the fourth quarter, and Forgan had built a 55-16 lead.
All of this on a night when the Bulldogs only shot 31 percent from the field.
Tayler Eagan, Tyler McReynolds, and Tanner Jones controlled the glass, and the Bulldogs took 78 shots while holding the Railroaders to only 45. Forgan shot better in the second half, and knocked down 7 threes on the night. Waynoka was just 1-of-11 from long range.
Ryan Radcliff shot 7-of-13 from the field and scored 19. Rhett Radcliff scored 12, Jacob Regier 9 - all treys, Tyler McReynolds hit two threes and tallied 8, and Tayler Eagan 5.
Forgan also defeated Laverne Friday night 63-46, and heads to the Christmas break with a perfect 8-0 record.
