Terry Lee Tarrant, DDS, 83, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at Hillcrest South Hospital in Tulsa.
He was born April 3, 1929, to Roy and Merle Tattu Tarrant in Los Angeles.
He married Amy Jensen.
He then married Dessia Matkin in January 1969. She preceded him in death.
He graduated from Hooker High School with the class of 1947. He received his bachelors of science from Panhandle State College in Goodwell, Okla. He later attended dental school at Loyola University in Chicago.
He immediately joined the Navy serving honorable from 1947 to 1950. He worked at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita. He practiced dentristy in Hooker.
He was a member of the Hooker United Methodist Church, the Hooker Lions Club, and the American Dental Association.
He was a runner and enjoyed participating in 5Ks.
Survivors include one son, John Tarrent and wife, Angela, Pueblo, Colo.; three daughters, Mary Jo Matkin and Marshia Weber, both of Clairmore, Okla., and Kristie Gaye Tarrant of Washington State; and four grandchildren, Katherine Elizabeth Tarrant, Mattison Weber, Shane and Jake.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, John Christopher Weber.
o Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Hooker Cemetery with the Rev. Les Bussel presiding.
