LAKELAND, Fla. – Calvin “Kip” Duvall, 89, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa., after an extended illness.
He was born to Belmer and Nancy (Sophia) Duvall in Beaver, Okla.
He retired from the Ingersoll Rand in Painted Post, N.Y. He was a U.S. World War II Army vet and was awarded the Purple Heart during his tour of duty.
He was an active member of the VFW in Lakeland, Fla., holding a number of offices. He was also a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his children, sons, Denzil (Linda) Duvall. Tyrone, Okla., and Calvin Dean (Joann) Duvall, Dixonville, Pa.; daughters, Lorraine Walker, Elkland, Pa., Ella (Jack) Belles and Vinny (Scott) Snyder, Sayre, Pa.; his stepchildren, Allen (Friederike) Benfield, Ind., Darell Benfield of California, Norman (Peggy) Benfield, Ga., and Russell Benfield, Fla.; brother, Marion Henderson Duvall, Corpus Christi, Texas; his sisters, Pearl Akers Lake Charles, La., and Beorgia Cantrell, El Paso, Texas; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; parents; son, Donald Duvall; brothers, Joe and Claxton; sisters Mary, Neva Jane, Lillie, Polly and Morena.
