ULYSSES – Patricia E. “Pat” Carter, 71, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at her home in Ulysses.
She was born July 31, 1941, to Frank and Lena May (Smith) Bless in Lakin.
She married Willis Carter July 8, 1956, in Dalhart, Texas. He survives.
She was the bookkeeper and helped with Willie’s Country Meats and later with Willie’s & Roger’s Kuntry Kookin’ and Catering.
She was a member of the Elks Club, Pheasants Forever and the First Baptist Church in Ulysses.
She is also survived by her daughters, Debra Fetterolf and husband, Joe, Ulysses, Sherrie Bryan and husband, De, Liberal, Betty McNeel and husband, John, Liberal, and Lori Wolford and husband, John, Satanta; brothers, Larry Bless and wife, Donna, Visalia, Calif., and James Bless and wife, Linda, Lakin; sister, Phyllis Wilson and husband, Donnie, Hoyt; six grandchildren, Jason and Beth Fetterolf, Ulysses, Jaime and Michael Callaway, Denton, Texas, Chasity Bush, Hennessey, Okla., David Cole, Ulysses, Amy Bridenstine and husband, Keith, Liberal, and Heather Jones and husband, Eddie, Mustang, Okla.; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, Ralph, Delbert, Dallas and Denny.
o Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Ulysses, with Pastor Steve Swann Jr. presiding.
Burial will be at a later date.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
