MEADE – George J. Isaac, 92, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at Meade District Hospital.
He was born Aug. 24, 1920, to Jacob F. and Kathrina (Friesen) Isaac in rural Meade County.
He married Agatha Wiens Aug. 17, 1941, in Meade. She survives.
He attended grade school in rural Meade County and latter attended Dodge City Junior College.
He was a farmer and stockman.
He was a member of the Countryside Bible Church, Meade and a former of the Navy League.
He enjoyed traveling, hunting, dining out at area restaurants and spending time with his family and friends.
Other survivors include one son, Richard Isaac and wife, Sharon, Corpus Christi, Texas; one daughter, Jeanette Tomlin and husband, Frank, Montgomery, Texas; two brothers, Lee Isaac, Hugoton, and Alvin Isaac, Hillsboro; two grandchildren, Freeman Tomlin and Chris Isaac; and one great-grandchild, Cole Tomlin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Loren Wayne Isaac; seven brothers, John, Abe, Jake, Ben, Peter, Henry and Dick Isaac; and two sisters, Katherine Classen and Margaret Loewen.
o Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Countryside Bible Church, rural Meade, with Pastor Freeman Tomlin and Pastor Chuck Finster presiding.
Burial will follow at the Graceland Cemetery, Meade.
Friends may call until 7 p.m. Wednesday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
