Students learn about banking during Sunflower BANK TOUR PDF Print E-mail

LEFT: Sunflower Bank is again conducting a tour of banking at its facility at 711 N. Kansas Ave. in Liberal. Second grade students from McKinley Elementary and their teachers get to learn some fundamentals of banking by watching how money is counted, debit cards are made and safe deposit boxes are used. These students get to watch how Judy Vasquez uses a paper bill counting machine. They are also were treated to refreshments while they learned how they can actually help earn money for their school by bringing in their report cards in January and participating in Sunflower Bank’s ABC program. The ABC Program is conducted from January through March every year. The students also got to enjoy the company of Sunflower Bank’s mascot, Bubba the Bear, while on the tour.
