Paul W. Payne, 67, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
He was born Oct, 17, 1943, to S.J. and Oleta Rogers Payne in Sacramento, Calif.
He married Linda J. Shover Aug. 15, 1975, in Amarillo, Texas. She survives.
He graduated from Liberal High School in 1962.
He worked for Rosel Perforators, drove truck for Groendyke Transport, in the oilfield more than 30 years and for the past six years at C-F Supply.
He was a member of the Willow Tree Men’s Golf and the V.F.W. Lane Day Post No. 3166 of Liberal.
He was an avid golfer.
Other survivors include two sons, Brendon Payne, Fort Worth, Texas, and Tyler Payne, Liberal; one daughter, Delinda Holway and husband, Scott, Burleson, Texas; and two grandchildren, Alyssa Finley and Mason Holway.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
o Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Miller Chapel.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Fairview Cemetery in Greensburg.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Miller Mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society-Relay for Life in care of the mortuary.
