Booster Club announces ‘Showdown’ contestants PDF Print E-mail

Twenty-five vocalists have made it through to the 2013 LHS Booster Club’s Country Showdown stage after judges picked them from among nearly 40 entries this year.
On Friday, March 29, the following contestants will sing their hearts out for a chance at more than $3,000 dollars in cash and prizes to be given away:

Becca Helton – Sublette
Clint Horton – Goodwell, Okla.
Jennifer Johnson – Liberal
Katelyn Johnson – Liberal
Monica Kerbo – Liberal
Kali Killingsworth – Liberal
Kara Lewis – Lawrence
Mercedes Martinez – Liberal
Jared Ratzlaff – Liberal
Shelby Savely – Liberal

In each round of the Country Showdown, the audience vote and judge votes both count for 50 percent of each contestant’s total score. 
The Country Showdown fundraiser begins at 7 p.m. March 29 at the James Maskus Auditorium with doors opening at 6 p.m. Tickets are $5 dollars each and can only be purchased at the door.
The top three winners will go on as the opening act for the Casey Donahew Band concert on Saturday, March 30. Tickets are still available for that concert at $15 dollars each and are on sale now at the Crazy House and KSCB/The Legend studios.
