Selola Belle “Sally” (Wilson) Lewis, 90, died Monday, Aug. 7, 2017 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Mo. 

She was born Sept. 26, 1926 to Olin H. Wilson and Selma B. (Jack) Wilson in Newkirk, Okla.

She married Ernest Lewis Nov. 21,1948 in Satanta. He preceded her in death.

She attended Sedan High school and graduated in 1944. She went on to continue her education attending Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Oklahoma and graduated from Pittsburgh College with a bachelor’s degree in teaching in 1957. 

She taught at Pleasant Prairie and Satanta each for one year, and ultimately spent the rest of her teaching career of 37 years with Dermot School in Morton County.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Syracuse. 

She enjoyed teaching, reading and traveling, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include sons, Bob Lewis, Peculiar, Mo., and Mike and wife, Nancy Lewis, Kendall; daughters, Shari and husband, Earl Lewis, Topeka, and Barbara Lewis, Prairie Village; sister, Oleta Shamasko, Wichita; five grandchildren: Angie and husband, Vance Keller, Syracuse, Kayla and husband, Clinton Smith, Peculiar, Mo., Adam Lewis, Syracuse, and Ben and Gunner Lewis, Topeka; five great-grandsons: Scotty, Max, and Matt Smith, Peculiar, Mo., and Brody and Brock Keller, Syracuse; and many other family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Ola Lee Wilson.

• Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. (MDT) Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church in Syracuse. 

Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. (MDT) at the Richfield Cemetery in Richfield. 

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. (MDT) Friday, Aug. 11, 2017 at Fellers Funeral Home LLC in Syracuse.
